Larry D. Johnson

President and Chief Executive Officer

Larry D. Johnson, President and Founder of The Johnson Development Corp. has over 44 years of experience in real estate development. He has played an active role in the development of more than 100 projects on over 43,000 acres in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana and Texas which include master-planned golf course communities, townhome and condominium communities, retail shopping and entertainment districts, office buildings and mixed-use commercial centers in suburban settings. He has successfully formed strategic partnerships with large public corporations, nationally recognized mortgage lending firms and individual foreign and domestic investors.

Mr. Johnson began his career in real estate development as the founder of a real estate investment and development firm which he grew for nine years before merging it into a public company in 1970. From 1970 to 1975, he served as President of a subsidiary of First Realty Investors, directing the development of several projects throughout the United States. Mr. Johnson has also served on the board of several private and publicly held organizations, including Underwood, Neuhaus & Company, Inc. of Houston, a member of the New York Stock Exchange and the oldest investment banking firm in Texas, and Fuller Real Estate Services, Inc., a Texas-based full-service commercial real estate firm. He has served on the Board of Regents of Texas Tech University and Texas Tech Health Science Center and he has been awarded the position of lifetime director of The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Mr. Johnson is a graduate of Texas Tech University. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Greater Houston Builders Association, the Texas Association of Builders and the National Association of Home Builders.
